The Griffith Trio is established among Australia's leading chamber groups and is Ensemble in Residence at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University. It consists of three highly experienced chamber musicians from the teaching staff from the institution - Michele Walsh (violin), Markus Stocker (cello) and Stephen Emmerson (piano). The Trio has performed widely around Australia, Asia and the Pacific since their formation in 1997. Since that time it has established an enviable reputation for its performances, radio broadcasts and recordings which have been consistently well received and acclaimed for their expression, vitality and unity of purpose.

In 2012, the Griffith Trio presents their fifteenth subscription series.
